While doodling around notes and drawing on the front of my binders in school at a young age, I never thought that it could possibly be something that I would do for a living.

At the age of 15, I joined the martial arts community at Great Way martial arts and was learning the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. I was obsessed with it, like a sponge I soaked up as many skills and techniques as I could. I was reenacting movies and making funny videos with friends along with doing performances for festivals, parades, and school demonstrations. Martial arts had become my passion.

While doing some acrobatics at the age of 20, an accident occurred where I dislocated my vertebrae which pinched my spinal cord leaving me paralyzed from the neck down and unable to breathe on my own. After three months on a spinal cord unit, I was able to activate my diaphragm allowing me to talk and breathe on my own.

 

Left with no movement, adaptive technology has allowed me to use a computer which has been able to bring back my love for art!
